Back to our scheduled programming...

Today Gary went back to work.  No more Christmas vacation for him.  The coffee was on early and its a good thing because Lily was up at 5:30am, as usual.
Gary gave me a trip to Williams & Sonoma for Christmas and I picked out a few new kitchen gadgets.  One of them is this nifty little pasta extruder.   I have been wanting to try making pasta from scratch so I tried it this morning.  Since I was up early I mixed the dough and let it sit.  It has to sit at room temperature for about an hour before you can roll it out.
Lily helped crank the extruder to produce our little fusilli pastas.  The whole process took close to 2 hours but it made a bunch of pasta!  I was able to make a vegetarian lasagna type dish using these noodles instead of the flat lasagna noodles, one for the freezer and still put about 2 cups of noodles into the freezer for another time.  I think it was successful.  Here is how it looked.

We took a trip over the glorious Ravenel Bridge into Mt. Pleasant today.  The girls and I went to check out Dr. Craig's new office.  It was awesome!  There is a little children's play area with books and puzzles and toys and tables and benches for Violet to climb.  The best part is there is a little GATE to trap them in while I get my adjustment!  How cool is that?  I did catch baby Violet climbing on the bench...she has been quite the dare devil these days and climbs on everything.  She has taken a few little spills as well.  She had Dr. Craig give her an adjustment, turns out her neck was out a little....I guess that will happen when you fall on your head.  She has really taken a liking to Dr. Craig.  She was all smiles during her adjustment today.  We really like him, if you are in the area and need a Chiropractor, he is the guy to see.
Here is a nice picture of the Ravenel Bridge that I did not take, lol.  The bridge goes from  downtown Charleston into Mt. Pleasant.  It's pretty cool looking.

We also went to Costco and then came home....nothing very exciting to report on.  It was very cold for here today.  It was in the 30s.  I still wore my flip flops but did throw on a sweatshirt.  hahaha.  Love this South Carolina weather!

Tomorrow...a trip to the Children's' Museum!
